Interface Features: Available When Needed (Lite and Pro Versions)
The interface of a count can be configured depending on the needs of the counts. For example, if no u-turn monitoring is needed that can be turned off. Similarly, the pedestrians and vehicle classification buttons can be turned on/off.
Unprecedented Analysis Capabilities (Lite and Pro Versions)
The FREE Report Generator or the FREE Web-Based Analysis Tool can be used to analyze the contents of the TDL files and produce reports in Excel (XLSX) format.
Simplified Workflow (Lite and Pro Versions)
Was your count performed by more than one person? No problem! Using the analysis tools you can generate a single report from multiple count (TDL) files. There's no longer a need to produce individual reports and to combine the files into one. File merging automatically handled for you.
Video Mode (Pro Version Only)
You are in control of the count clock. Watching a video of an intersection from 7 AM at 3 PM? Use the menu to specify the date and time where the count is being performed and you're done.
Want to take a break? No problem! Pause your video and when you come back use the menu to set the time and date to when you left and continue. Want to make things easier? Use the FREE Video Player to play the video on your computer and control the video playback directly from your Android device. In other words: be as efficient as you can be. Low volume intersections: play the video faster. High volume intersections: play the video slower when you need it. You can skip forward and backward at any time and pause the video when you need. |
Missed a vehicle? Go back in the video and push the corresponding button again and go back to where you were supposed to be. Times are automatically synchronized between your device and video.
Once you are done with your count, save the data as a TDL file and use the FREE Report Generator to produce an awesome report from your count in Excel format (XLSX). And to make things simpler... You can take a video camera to the field that records, for example, the Northbound and Eastbound approaches while you use the field version of the app to count the Southbound and Westbound approaches. Then you can merge the TDL file from the field and the TDL file produced using the Video Data Logger into a single report. In other words: the number of people required to conduct a count at a complex intersection is reduced to one. |
